The Best of the Best

 Robbie is the best. Serious.

Also my sister/doula, Talya.  She pretty much rocks.

My dad worked hard all day.

Light-touch massage is heavenly.

Fresh goopy baby is the best feeling in the world.

Baby Adelyn being de-gooped.

8 lbs. 1 oz.

Also the best?  My midwife, Machel Knowles, and my ridiculously rockin' nurse, Renee.

Better than the best?
This.
'Nuff said.

PaMa and PaPa kisses.

PaPa is a total sucker for his grandbabies.

Grandma Allred is too.

Dax seeing baby Addie for the first time.

 He LOVES her!

Not kidding.  He wouldn't stop giving her loves.  He still does this.

Eventually, he got bored and played "Wosie"
(Ring Around the Rosie) by himself for a while.

Our little exhausted family.  Don't worry, I really looked that rad.  Not even scared.

 I love this shot.

Addie's first bath.  Apparently, parents aren't allowed to help anymore.
So this is us, taking pictures through the thick glass.

 We're diggin' the blonde.

The view I had all day.  It pretty much ruled.

Daddy can't get enough of her, either.

Addie all ready to go home the next afternoon.

Here we are....a family of FOUR!!!

Birth story to come....but some people (ahem....Erica) were getting impatient for pictures.  :)

SHE'S HERE!!!

Baby Addie graced us with her presence today, 12 October 2010 at 4:23 pm.  She weighs 8 lbs. 1 oz. and is 20.5" long.  Her cute little head has almost an inch of blonde hair...she's so stinkin' cute, and we love her to pieces!  Even Dax likes her currently...he was so excited to see the "ba-by" and kept holding his little palms out to hold her and would snuggle his cute little face up to hers.  We are in heaven.....

A family of four....WHAT?!?  How did that happen?

More of the story and some pics to come.....can't find the camera cord currently.

Life's Little Joys

I have so thoroughly enjoyed being unpregnant, I thought I'd share with you all the simple joys in my life since September 1:

1. I can lie on my stomach
2. I am wearing clothes I haven't worn since before the pregnancy
3. My wedding ring fits
4. My shoes fit
5. Having a higher collar/scarf/necklace doesn't make me feel like I will lose my last meal
6. No more nausea at all
7. Chicken doesn't make me sick
8. I can roll over unassisted
9. I can see my feet
10. I can hug my husband without bending forward to reach him
11. I can lift things without people freaking out on me
12. I have energy
13. I feel fabulous
14.  I haven't thrown up yet
15. It no longer occurs to me to waddle like a penguin
16. I no longer feel like a big waste of space
17. I have something to do during the day/night
18. I don't feel nearly so unattractive as I have the past 9 months
19. I consider 5 hours of sleep a blessing
20. My belly no longer runs into things

Seriously, I could keep going for a while, but we have visitors coming, so I'd better quit. I LOVE not being pregnant!
