The Little Monster and a Doctor Appointment

This picture was taken while he was still relatively happy:
Isn't our little man so stinkin' cute? We had so much fun on Halloween! Since Robbie had to work (poor guy), we (Dax and I) went down to celebrate with Talya and family. It was a lot of fun (thanks guys!). We ate pizza shaped like a pumpkin, took some pictures, and went to a party all before we went trick or treating through their neighborhood. Talya and Ryan dressed up like they were in the army, Eric was Luke Skywalker, Tyler was yoda, and Rylee was Princess Leia. They were so cute! Rylee was funny. She would look in her little pumpkin bucket, look up and me, and reach out her bucket for me to drop candy in...it doesn't take long to figure it out, eh?
What a babe!
Dax wasn't happy when I left him alone for too long, as evidenced by the picture below:
Rylee found my sunglasses and put them on for me. I love the cinnamon bun wig!

On Saturday morning, we went to get Dax dressed to head down to Salt Lake, and this is what Robbie brought me:
The little man's head is growing! We couldn't fit the onesie on him. He just kept looking around at us with the turban-like baseball shirt stuck on his head. It was too cute!

Also, we had our 2 month doctor appointment today. The story in and of itself is memorable. We woke up and had been working on laundry, so we pulled all the extra clothing out of the diaper bags since it needed to be washed as well, leaving no extras to take around. We figured we'd be safe at a 30 minute appointment. Whoops.

As soon as we got there, he was really hungry, so we pulled him out and fed him. He was extra-fussy while burping, but burped without any problems. When the nurse came in, we went to strip him down to be weighed, and I noticed he had completely blown out of the diaper. ALL OVER. We quickly change his diaper and wipe him off and he spits up ALL OVER. We're talking puke and poop on-his-neck-and-in-his-hair "all over". Awesome. Adding to the awesomeness, we remembered that we had no clothes for him to wear. Poor guy was strapped in his carseat in just a diaper.

Also awesome is the fact that the onesie this all occurred in has been the onesie he has been wearing during two of his three most notable blowouts. I had literally JUST BARELY gotten the stains out of it to a point that it was wearable again. I hope it survives. It's may favorite one. Blast!

Moving on...I love, love, LOVE our pediatrician, Dr. Isaacson. He's super-fabulous. Anyway, Daxson's stats are as follows:

23" long (50%)
11 lbs (40%)
15 3/4 head circumference (50%)

The poor guy also got shots today. Two in each leg. Neither Robbie or I had ever heard him cry like that! It was so sad! He's basically been sleeping off the trauma ever since.
