I Forgot How Much I Love To Read!

Thank heavens that Jackie had this book!  I had read The Kite Runner before the mish...and LOVED it.  I actually loaned it to Jackie because we have such similar taste in reading material and got her hooked.  I had passed this book on multiple occasions trying not to rationalize buying it (it is a want, not a need).

Robbie was surprised when I read it in all one day.  I literally COULD NOT put it down.  I had forgotten exactly how much I love to read.  Thank heavens for the sickness that this pregnancy has caused, otherwise I may not have fully re-realized my love for the printed word.

Just to put my love for reading into perspective:  In 5th grade, I took my teacher's all-time reading record, reading more than 20,000 pages in that school year (holy crap!).  Last I heard (a few years ago), I was still in 1st place by a few thousand pages.  I remember when I was younger that when I got sent to my room, I got grounded from my books, not from my toys.  I was a big nerd and would finish books (more than one) nearly every weekend.  No wonder I did so well in school (apparently, I should have kept up that habit into my collegiate career instead of playing so much)!

Next up:  My Lobotomy, A Memoir by Howard Dully.  I'm very excited about it.  I'll let you know how it goes.

Girl I would love if you linked us from your page... I already added you! :) And I secretly have been checking on ya to see how you are doing and growing with baby and all! I am glad we'll be able to stay in touch... 5th ward pride never dies! By the way... did you like the Kite Runner? Have you read Twilight? Anyway, I am on the whole reading train again. Hope the baby is growing well! Love ya!

I love reading too. I haven't read Kite Runner or this new one but I have heard they are good so I probably should. I think Jeff feels bad for me too. After throwing up and brushing my teeth again last night he said he would finish moving everything else. This baby is not so bad, it gets me out of all sorts of things.

So have you stopped being so sick? I can't wait until I am no longer naseous! I want to see tummy pictures too. Are you in full maternity clothes now? I keep undoing my pants when I sit down at work and I am starting to think I need bigger pants.
