Turns out it didn't really matter, as Machel (our midwife) was called into delivery for another patient. We really got back to see her at about 2:50. Though it was a rough wait for nearly three hours, I was glad to know that she is willing to spend time where most necessary. If roles had been reversed, I would have preferred to have Machel with me and make the measly other patients wait until my baby was in the clear, safe, and delivered, so I feel like I can at least be nice and understanding.
It turns out that Machel is 95% certain that our little sea monkey/gummi bear is a little boy...but as it is still growing and developing, there's a possibility it's really an extra-developed little girl. The chance of that is, well, about 5%. She is pretty sure that there will be no surprises the next time, and that the small little appendage is truly a little boy part. I'm okay with that!
Can you believe it?

Carly, I found your blog from Lindsey's blog, congratulations on the little boy, that is so exciting! I didn't even know you were married.
Congrats cousin! I always thought I wanted a little girl first, but after seeing my two little nephews, boys are so fun! I'm excited for you...when are you due?
I can't believe you found me.... yay! Congrats on the baby, I had no idea!
Love you!
Heidi
So many congrats on the little boy that is growing so big and tall inside of you!
Carly,
I knew it was a boy, I jest knew it!
Anyway, dont feel bad if you don't find out next time for 100% either, my kids were soooo stubbron when it came to finding out if they were boy or girl, I had to have 4 ultrasounds with the first and 3 with the second.... my stubborn children. And still then, I was half expecting the opposite sex to come out when I delivered. So exciting...still, though, glad its you and not me, Yea!
