taking a little trip into the past.

This past weekend we were able to spend in St. George area with Robbie's family.

On the way down, we stopped in Cedar City to reminisce a bit.  This picture is from the first place we went and hung out together.  It is Canyon View Middle School.

Background:  One night, my friend Robyn and I were trying to come up with something fun to do since all our other friends ever wanted to do was hang out with frat guys and such.  Our solution was "sleeping bagging."  This is where you shove two college students into a sleeping bag and roll down the hill (much like we all did as children...some of us more recently).  Unfortunately, Robbie came away with a crushed hand from landing on a grate, and Jake Havens took an unfortunate trip to severely injure his shoulder.  Robyn, Jake Butler, and myself had a good time!
Our other activity of choice was affectionately called "mullet-mobiling" --for obvious reasons.  We took Robbie's sweet, sweet Nissan Sentra to the parking lot by the stadium, backed on to two snowboard decks and pulled the emergency break.  This allows for spinning donuts on pure asphalt while adding a show of sparks from the metal in the snowboards.

This picture will remain on the blog until someone can prove to us that the "skidmarks" (from cars, not dirty undies) are not from our outing.

It smelled bad, but was surely one of our favorite things to do.  Ahh, the memories!
