At yesterday's appointment, Machel became slightly worried about my blood pressure. At 138/74, it was definitely higher than my typical 110/70. Using her "intense eyes" she told me that preeclampsia is no fun and that I should be very careful as it can turn serious quickly. No huge stress yet, just precautionary measures as it is still too soon to tell anything definitively. Either way, I've been ordered to "rest." When asked for further definition, I got "unless it's a necessity, like using the bathroom, stay down."
Poop.

Ugly, I have a good friend who had it during her pregnancy and it was ugly. She ended up delivering at 32 weeks! Sorry:(
does "poop" mean that you have to poop, that you are "pooped", or this sucks? Either way, I guess it works. hahaha
That sucks, but hopefully it will help prevent you from having to deliver early. Hopefully you will find something to help pass the time.
OH man! Sorry Carly...hopefully you "resting" (pretty much sounds like bedrest to me) will prevent the full blown thing. Women certaintly sacrifice EVERYTHING to be pregnant. You're awesome. Can't wait for your shower...I just want to see you...its been way too long!
Oh no! I'm sorry. I had it with Anistyn. No fun. I was on bed rest for 6 weeks until they finally induced me 10 days early. My advice--it sucks to "rest" but make sure you do it!
Aw, I'm sorry! I'm right there with ya. My blood pressure is fine, I just have a very "irritable uterus". It's sooooo hard to just sit around and depend on other people. I'm not doing a very good job of it. Good luck! I've decided these last few weeks I just have to go into survival mode. Between being so dang hot and uncomfortable, and worried about the baby's health, we've just got to survive! Let me know how it goes.
I'm so sorry, Carly! I went in like a week before my due date and had a high blood pressure too. So they made me go get an ultrasound and do a Non-stress test to see if the baby was okay. Then when I went in the next week (the day before my due date) it was still high, so they induced me 2 days later. So mine never went to preeclampsia, but I know how you feel. It's a little scary, but, hey, maybe you will get induced early :)
I still can't believe it! I am so bummed for you! Hopefully it will help prevent anything though! Well, I will definitely have to bring over some books. I could read to you even (just playing! That would probably put you to sleep though)! Well, stick in there! I will come visit you or something!
That is crappy!! So at lake powell you can't do anything fun!? This is Erica not Chuck. Didn't want to log out and back in.
That sucks bad shmarly! I am so sorry. I was getting so crazy swollen and we were worried I could have preeclampsia but my blood pressure is really low still so that is good. Let me know if you need anything or if it is still safe for you to travel to your shower.
Awww!! That sucks Max!!!!!!!!! Hope it is just a warning signs of something minor.

I am sorry that I couldn't make it to your shower my cousin had a bridal shower that same day and I felt a little torn between the two. Honestly I would have bawled the entire time, this shower was one that Jenny and your mom wanted to share between you and I. So to save you the emotions I opted to go to my cousins shower. Im sure it was great and that you got lots of fun gifts. Sorry to hear about the last doctors apt. I actually would love to be bed ridded and not work anymore...
